Rasspe is a leading supplier of quality products to the farm machinery industry with a very long tradition.

1827 the Rasspe company was incorporated, initially producing forged parts for boots. The world famous logo, the "pipe" was copy right protected in 1868. Since then it has stood as a symbol for quality 'Made in Solingen'.Other brand names were added over time, like the "RADURA®" trademark. Both trademarks well known all over the world.

In the late 1800 the first contact and deals were made with farm machinery manufacturers in Chicago,USA. In the following years the product range was expanded to 30 000 different parts, to satisfy worldwide demand for parts. In the year 1909 Rasspe started a company sponsored health insurance plan. Today this health insurance company still operates as BKK Bergisch Land and insures Rasspe employees. In 1962 the production of complete knotters started and is today one of the Rasspe core products. During the farm crisis in the 1980s Rasspe reduced production and manpower and a subsidiary in Solingen - Burg was merged into the Solingen - Stoecken works.

At the beginning of 2000 the Rasspe family company was aquired by a group of entrepreneurs under the leadership of Gebr. Schumacher GmbH. In this group Rasspe is among a number of companies with world wide operating businesses. Today Rasspe concentrates on the production and developement of components for the forage and grain harvesting machinery industry. Lead product are the knotters for twine and wire balers. Also knives for paper cutting are manufactured and enjoy an exellent reputation.
A very long tradition and decades of experience in the development and production of components will guaranttee Rasspe a prominent place as a major supplier to the farm machinery industry in many years to come.
